Inter Milan celebrate their 20th Serie A title by beating city rivals AC Milan in an ill-tempered derby… with three players sent off in stoppage time

Inter Milan are Serie A champions for the 20th time after beating city rivals AC Milan in an ill-tempered match at the San Siro.

Simone Inzaghi’s side needed a win to secure the title, and they looked on course for a comfortable three points after goals from Francesco Acerbi and Marcus Thuram.

AC Milan, however, made their bitter rivals nervous after Fikayo Tomori scored ten minutes into stoppage time.

The match ended in chaos with the expulsion of three players in the space of four minutes of added time.

Despite late pressure from AC Milan, Inter held on to take a 17-point lead over their city rivals with five games remaining.
