Jarrod Bowen has revealed the heartwarming way he will celebrate reaching 20 goals for West Ham this season, and it involves his former team Hereford FC.

The England international has been in fine form for the Irons this season and has 20 goals in all competitions, including 16 in the Premier League.

His meteoric rise has been one of England’s feel-good stories, having attended boyhood club Hereford’s academy before moving to Hull City in 2014.

From there, Bowen showed his class in the Championship and earned a move to the Premier League at West Ham, where he continued to impress.

After scoring his 20th goal of the season, Bowen revealed he would pay homage to his roots by celebrating the landmark.

Take from Xformerly Twitter user Rob Pritchard revealed he asked the former Hereford man about his plans to celebrate his 20 goals this season.

Bowen replied: “I’m going to go home and play as Hereford on Championship Manager 2008!”

The West Ham winger, who amassed a small fortune as the Irons’ main man, later revealed he had made a bargain from the match.

“I bought it for 50p and I’m going to load it onto my computer!” he said.

This left some fans confused, with one asking: “What computer does he have?” Most new ones don’t have a CD/DVD drive!’

The striker most likely picked up his copy on Steam, although it’s currently priced at £3.99, so you’ll have to pay a little more than the West Ham star if you want to follow in his footsteps.

Bowen will start in League Two as he returns in 2008 with his former team.

He hopes he can replicate their feat in real life by taking Graham Turner’s job during the season they won promotion to League One.

Just two years after returning to the Football League, they secured third place and promotion to League One.

He will be able to count on Theo Robinson, who scored 13 league goals that season, while Robbie Threlfall was on loan from Liverpool the same season.

Unfortunately for Bowen, he won’t be in the game at the age of 12, but he could look to add as a regenerator if he wants to propel his team to glory.
