Looks like Iran wants to pretend this never happened

There are early – but clear – signs that Iran (or at least parts of Iran) does not want to escalate this fight further. Given the whispers coming from Israel, they cannot be shocked by another strike.

That said, the strike appears to be limited to a single military site and there is no report yet on the extent of the damage.

For domestic consumption, Iran appears to be saying that nothing happened at all, that air defenses were activated and a few small drones were shot down. This contrasts with what the US has said and I’m sure videos will appear (hopefully even real videos) but we might be in a situation where everyone has saved enough face to move on , at least from this chapter onwards.

Gold bulls appear to be the first to abandon war trading:

or 10 minutes

USD/JPY has also made a significant retracement and oil is falling. Stocks are still deep in the red, but this looks like a bearish buy right off the bat.
