Channing Tatum And Zoe Kravitz‘s meets cute is coming to the big screen.
The couple, who got engaged in 2023, first met in 2021 when Zoë cast Channing as the leading man in her first film. Blink twice. And in the new trailer for the psychological thriller, Channing plays billionaire Slater King who seduces two young women to join him on his private island for a luxurious weekend.
Even if everything seems perfect when Frida (Naomi Ackie) and Jess (Alia Shawkat) arrive for the first time – enchanted by the gourmet cuisine and tropical decor – it’s Jess’ question in the new trailer that serves as a haunting premonition.
“So,” she asks Frida, seemingly jokingly, “do you think human sacrifice takes place before or after dinner?”
As seen in the trailer, Jess’s question might not seem so far-fetched since she soon disappears and Frida is forced to team up with fellow compatriot Sarah (Adria Arjona) to find her friend and leave the island alive.
In addition to the aforementioned actors, Zoë’s directorial debut features a tour de force of acting prowess from on-screen veterans. Geena Davis, Simon Rex, Christian Slater And Haley Joel Osment.
