What Led to Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner, Theresa Nist Split

This is because the Golden Baccalaureate The stars, who married in a televised ceremony in January, are divorcing after three months of marriage.

“Theresa and I have had several heart-to-heart conversations,” Gerry told ABC. Juju Chang on Hello America April 12, “and we took a hard look at our situation, our living arrangements, etc. and we kind of came to the mutual conclusion that it was probably time for us to dissolve our marriage.”

And although Gerry, who lives in Indiana, and Theresa, who resides in New Jersey, were determined to make their relationship work, it was their living situation that ultimately led to their separation.

“What strikes me most about our conversations is how devoted we both are to our families,” explained Gerry, ABC’s first-ever Golden Bachelor. “So we look at these situations and I think we think it’s best for the happiness of each of us to live separately.”
