‘What are they doing?’ – Martin Keown takes Alejandro Garnacho and Man United stars to task for celebrations

talkSPORT pundit and Arsenal legend Martin Keown has expressed his fury at Manchester United stars for celebrating too much against Chelsea.

United looked to have completed a remarkable comeback at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night when they led 3-2 after going two goals down early on.

However, Cole Palmer scored twice in the 100th minute and again in the 101st minute to battle for all three points in a remarkable Premier League clash.

The Red Devils took the lead in the second half through Alejandro Garnacho, who latched onto a brilliant cross from Antony to score his second of the match.

The Spaniard rushed towards the away fans in the corner of Stamford Bridge before sitting on the advertising boards to celebrate his goal.

And Keown criticized the 19-year-old for failing to show more maturity, insisting the youngster should have come back and prepared for the resulting Chelsea onslaught.

He told Jim White on talkSPORT on Thursday morning: “They give us moments, what about Antony’s ball?

“Fantastic but it’s his first assist of the season, for God’s sake!

“And we’re going to talk about it forever like it’s the ball of the season.

“The way the players celebrate… Garnacho, get your butt off the billboards, step back, get ready to defend because the opposition is coming at you.

“Now people say Arsenal players party too much, but what do they do?

“Everyone celebrates this goal, I don’t have it. I want you to get back into position and give me something defensively.”

The result saw Chelsea move up to 10th while United remained sixth, but just five points separate the two teams, with European qualification still in Mauricio Pochettino’s sights.
