• On his last day of his 20th birthday, goalkeeper Matt Turner earned his 32nd competitive cap, tying him with Brad Friedel for fourth all-time among USMNT goalkeepers. Turner is the fifth different goalkeeper to appear for the United States in the Copa América, following Friedel. (6 selections), Brad Guzan (6), Kasey Keller (5) and Tim Howard (1).

• At 36 years and 261 days, central defender Tim Ream is the oldest outfield player to represent the United States in the Copa América. The previous senior was Fernando Clavijo, who was 36 years and 150 days old when he played in the 3-3 draw against Venezuela on June 22, 1993 in Quito, Ecuador.

• Making his 13th appearance, forward Folarin Balogun will appear in his first group stage match of the tournament for the United States.
