Unseen footage appears to show Enzo Fernandez taunting Mason Mount after late Chelsea comeback against Manchester United

Enzo Fernandez and Chelsea sent a clear message to Mason Mount in the extraordinary 4-3 win over Manchester United on Thursday.

The Blues produced the latest comeback in Premier League history as hat-trick hero Cole Palmer scored in the 10th and 11th minutes of added time.

In an interesting subplot, former Chelsea star Mount had been introduced as a late substitute – and the Manchester United midfielder quickly became a target after this stunning turnaround.

Previously unseen footage shows Fernandez walking towards Mount and tapping the Chelsea badge on his chest, before facing his opponent as he waited for the match to resume.

There was clearly no love lost between the two former teammates, who were also seen clashing and making unsavory comments earlier in the match.

Fernandez channeled that feeling inside Stamford Bridge after a chorus of boos greeted Mount on his return.

The 25-year-old spent 18 years at Chelsea after joining aged six and won the club’s Player of the Year award twice.

However, fans were left disappointed by the nature of his lucrative £60million move to the Red Devils after several failed efforts to renew his contract with the Blues.

One fan was seen holding up a yellow shirt with Mount’s old number 19 and the word ‘Judas’.

On a dramatic night, Chelsea took a two-goal lead through Conor Gallagher and Palmer, with Blues fans heard chanting: “Mason, what’s the score?”

However, United stunned the home fans into silence as two Alejandro Garnacho goals either side of a Bruno Fernandes header appeared to seal an unlikely comeback.

The visitors still led in the eighth minute of stoppage time but, somehow, Mount and his new club left Stamford Bridge with nothing.

Gary Neville is speaking out about the viral comment he made during Chelsea’s Carabao Cup final defeat.

Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino said: “It was incredible. We were the better team today and it was right to score in the last minute.

“We started very well, 2-0 (led), the match was under control, then we made a mistake and suffered an emotional impact. It was not easy to deal with. In the second half we controlled the match (but) conceded in transitions.

“It was important to finish like this, to create a bond between our supporters and our players. It’s a very good thing that happened today. It should be a turning point in the confidence of the supporters in the team .”

United boss Erik ten Hag meanwhile is counting the cost of defensive injuries ahead of the visit of Liverpool on Sunday with Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans forced out of Stamford Bridge.

He was also perplexed by the added time added to the 90 minutes.

“I don’t know where they got those eight minutes. I don’t know where they came from. But in the last minutes of the game, we as a team have to manage the game better.”
