Zelenskyy is expected to attend the conference itself and said on Monday that he would meet the American vice-president JD Vance on the sidelines of the event.
The Ukrainian chief also said kyiv “worked” to organize a meeting with Trump. Last week, Trump said that he would “probably” meet Zelenskyy in the coming days.
Kyiv tries to win the White House before any negotiation with Russia to end her high -scale war, which she has been putting for almost three years.
Trump has repeatedly expressed skepticism to provide American military aid to Ukraine and called for peace talks. kyiv, on the other hand, excluded any regulation which involves conceding the territory in Moscow.
In recent days, Zelenskyy has suspended in the United States to develop the natural resources of Ukraine, including rare earths, such as a tactic to keep Trump next to it.
“The Americans have helped the most, and therefore the Americans should win the most,” Zelenskyy said on an interview with Reuters. “I would also like to talk about it with President Trump.”
