The woman who left Kylian Mbappé speechless during her recent trip to the Cannes Film Festival has seen her social networks skyrocket.
The French superstar and his PSG teammate Ousmane Dembele were absent from the Paris team as they ended their Ligue 1 season with a 2-0 away win at Metz.
Instead, the two ventured to the south of France for the famous festival, where Mbappé was surprised by a woman who approached his table waving a French flag.
The 25-year-old was in conversation with Dembele and other friends who had joined him at the lavish La Guérite restaurant when he was stunned by the woman’s silence.
It has now been revealed that she has seen her Instagram followers rise by more than 60,000 since they met on Sunday.
Kylian Mbappé was left speechless when he noticed the woman waving a French flag at his table in Cannes.
The woman has seen her social networks skyrocket since the meeting with Mbappé on Sunday.
After confirming his departure from PSG earlier this month, Mbappe threw an extravagant party for 250 guests at an elegant Italian restaurant on Monday evening.
The French PSG star’s teammates, club staff and friends gathered at Gigi, a venue inspired by Venetian palaces located just steps from the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe.
The restaurant’s menu includes prime rib at €160 (£137) for two people, roast langoustine at €78 (£67) and a Dover sole dish at €68 (£58).
Mbappe, 25, who scored 256 goals in 307 matches over seven seasons at the Parc des Princes, confirmed his departure – most likely to Real Madrid – on May 10.
His mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, teased the journalists gathered outside the room by telling them “you already know that, don’t you?” when asked about his son’s next club.
Le Parisien reports that the majority of the PSG team was present, with Danilo Pereira and Nuno Mendes being the first to arrive before Mbappé made his entrance around 7:30 p.m. accompanied by his brother Ethan.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was not present as he reportedly had an argument with Mbappe after his departure from the club was announced.
Le Parisien said Lamari answered a few questions from a scrum of journalists outside as he left at 11:30 p.m., appearing to confirm without actually saying that Mbappé was Madrid-bound.
He could qualify for the final of the Coupe de France this Saturday against Lyon, which is being played in Lille.
Mbappe won 13 trophies during his time at PSG and has been their top scorer every season since his permanent arrival.
Mbappe signed for PSG winning the league title for the seventh time in his career, but they fell short again in the Champions League, losing to Borussia Dortmund in the semi-final.
After this weekend, Mbappe will focus on captaining France at the European Championship in Germany.
They will play warm-up friendlies against Luxembourg on June 5 and Canada on June 9 before opening their group stage campaign against Austria on June 17.
