The deputy for Congress Shashi Tharoor took a poetic excavation in Pakistan on Saturday a few hours after Islamabad violated a cease-fire which he had announced with India to stop all hostilities.

In an article on X, Tharoor has published a Hindi Divest saying: “Uski Fitrat Hai Mukar Jaane Ki, Uske Vaade Pe Yakeen Karu (It is their nature to come back to their word, how can I trust their promises?) ”. Follow the live updates.
Earlier in the day, reacting to the announcement of the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Tharoor said that India wanted to teach “terrorists of a lesson” after the terrorist attack of Pahalgam.
“Peace is essential. I am very happy that India has never wanted a long -term war. India wanted to teach terrorists a lesson, I believe that the lesson was taught.

India and Pakistan agreed on Saturday to immediately cease all hostilities through land, air and the sea, after four days of inter -border and intense missile strikes.
In what was a surprise, the ceasefire was announced for the first time by US President Donald Trump on social networks, followed by an official announcement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vikram Misri.
“After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am happy to announce that India and Pakistan have accepted a complete and immediate ceasefire,” wrote Trump on Truth Social.

“Congratulations to the two countries for having used common sense and great intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this question!” Added Trump.
However, a few hours after the announcement of the ceasefire, Jammu-et-Cachemire was shaken by a series of drone observations in the night, followed by the sound of explosions, which prompted security staff to initiate air defense systems to make them fall.
The developments led to a hastily briefing at 11 p.m., where Misri confirmed that Pakistan had violated the ceasefire in the evening and that the armed forces had given an adequate and appropriate response.
Misri also called Islamabad to take “appropriate measures” to deal with these violations and face the situation of “gravity and responsibility”.
“In the past hours, repeated violations of understanding have arrived earlier this evening between the Directors General of Military Operations in India and Pakistan,” he said. “This is a violation of understanding earlier during the day.”
Misri added: “The armed forces give an adequate and appropriate response to these violations and we take a very serious note from these violations.”
