Drew McIntyre would have been checked by WWE Medical for a potential injury suffered during the backlash.

McIntyre was one of the four competitors of the opening of the United States Championship, including Jacob Fatu, Knight and Damian Priest. He and the priest have argued in recent months and have seen their personal conflict away from the match in the ring. In the end, the priest would land a south of the sky in the process of chokeslam on a rim and through a table in the arena, but McIntyre in particular landed from the table and hit his head on the ground. Pwinsider has since reported that McIntyre was evaluated by WWE Medical after the bump, although the details were not yet emerging.

The match would end with Fatu and Knight fighting alone in the ring, until Solo Sikoa and the beginnings Jeff Cobb got involved to attack Knight. Fatu was surprised by the new member added to his faction, but continued to win his Moonsault and mark the fall to keep his title, before taking leave and going out on the pair of Sikoa and Cobb.
