‘The nastiest knockout you’ll see in MMA’ – Max Holloway competes for knockout of the year as female fighter left lying in heap after vicious headbutt

An MMA fighter scored one of the most brutal knockouts you’ll see Friday night in South Dakota.

Kendra McIntyre and Katarina Legorreta opened the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) 182 event in style when McIntyre connected with a devastating head kick midway through the third and final round of their strawweight bout.

As the two exhausted fighters exchanged labored blows in the middle of the cage, McIntyre powered a powerful roundhouse toward Legorreta’s dome.

The shot sent Legorreta flying backwards and crashing into the fence.

“Oh my God! What a head kick from Kendra McIntyre,” shouted the LFA commentators.

“You’re kidding I hope? Go out by knockout… Incredible shot from Kendra McIntyre. Wow…

“What a coup de grace. What a coup de grace. An incredibly violent knockout from Kendra McIntyre.

“It’s a circular saw. She was there this evening.

“Oh, man. Highlight for the ages. Perhaps already the knockout of the year.

The LFA commentary team wasn’t the only ones assessing the knockout.

As videos of the brutal ending began to circulate online, fans reacted with shock.

One fan wrote: “Hands down one of the nastiest MMA knockouts you’ve ever seen. »

Another tweeted: “The knockout of the year for sure.”

A third added: “What a great knockout. In the tradition of (Holly) Holm,” referring to Holly Holm’s famous knockout victory over Ronda Rousey in 2015.

Many thought Max Holloway’s knockout victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 earlier this month wouldn’t be topped.

But McIntyre’s sickening stoppage ensures there will be serious competition for the best knockout at the year-end MMA awards.
