The Jets have seven standalone games in 11 weeks and two Sunday-Thursday turnarounds

Someone in New York really doesn’t like the Jets.

For the third year in a row, they have a difficult schedule. Not when it comes to opponents, who are predetermined via a formula based on rotation and results from the previous season. But when it comes to setting up games.

Brian Costello of New York Post got the full Jets schedule.

Thanks to the presence of Aaron Rodgers, the Jets play six prime-time games in 2024. They also host a standalone Sunday morning game in London.

After Monday night’s opener in San Francisco, the Jets will return home for a Sunday game. But they will not play at home. They will have to travel to Tennessee for a Week 2 game against the Titans. Then they return home for a Thursday night game against the Patriots.

They get a second home game against the Broncos before traveling to London, against the Vikings. They have no time off after that; they host the bills on Monday Night Football. (What could go wrong?) Then they visit the Steelers for a Sunday night game.

After a Week 8 visit to the Patriots, they another Thursday night game, on Halloween against the Texans.

After that, the Jets travel to Arizona then return home for a Sunday night game against the Colts.

All primetime games will be played before the end of Week 11.

They have Week 12 off, before wrapping up with Sunday-Sunday games against Seattle, at Miami, at Jacksonville, against the Rams, at Buffalo and against Miami to finish the season.

They got off to a pretty good start in 2022 and 2023, despite busy schedules. This year, they will have a demanding and stressful eleven game series, with seven of those games being the only NFL game to take place when the Jets are playing.

If they win, no problem. If they struggle, it will pave the way for massive changes after the season ends. If not sooner.
