The former world number 2 also asked for privacy and insisted the two would remain friends.

She wrote: “After much consideration and many precious moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably separate.

“We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths.

“As we enter this new chapter of our lives, we continue to wish each other the best in all our endeavors.

“We ask for privacy during this time and thank you for your understanding and respect.”

Tsitsipas, currently seventh in the world rankings, and Badosa even had a joint Instagram account, which had more than 87,000 followers.

However, the account was deleted before the breakup was announced on social media.

The Instagram page contained several posts, including support for each other’s careers and updates on their relationship, such as vacation snaps and selfies.

Badosa and Tsitsipas had a joint Instagram account where they posted updates about their lives, but it has now been closed.

The two started dating early last year and quickly became every tennis fan’s favorite couple.

Badosa was born in New York in the United States but represents Spain, where her parents are from and where she lived after moving to Barcelona at the age of seven.

Footage captures Daniil Medvedev’s X-rated rant during the Indian Wells Open final loss to Carlos Alcaraz, where he calls tennis a “s**t sport.”

The 26-year-old has won over $6 million in prize money and reached second place in the world rankings in 2022.

However, injuries have hit Badosa hard over the past two years and question marks remain over his career.

Tsitsipas, meanwhile, has yet to win a Grand Slam, although he finished runner-up at the Australian Open in 2023 and the French Open in 2021, losing both times to Novak Djokovic.
