The relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has been well received within the Kansas City Chiefs organization, the star man’s offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said.

The tight end’s relationship with Swift led to a massive increase in the Chiefs’ worldwide popularity, with Kelce and his team achieving their newfound fame by winning the Super Bowl last season.

Plans are already being made for the upcoming campaign in Kansas City, with the NFL Draft on Thursday, but local news station KCTV5 asked Kelce coach Nagy to think about the Swift factor.

“So many people care about what’s happening right now in the world, in part because of Travis/Taylor,” he said.

“It’s really rare, I mean, you’re talking about Taylor Swift and Kelce and Patrick,” he said. “I know Patrick and Kelce as people away from the different concerts, golf venues, etc. I know them every day.

“Taylor, I’ve never met him. We love that she is part of the family, part of the team. What she and Kelce did is a cool story.

“I think it’s a credit to them that they are two great and powerful people, so humble in what they do, and so talented in what they do, whether it’s football or singing.

“We are enjoying the journey, we are proud to be part of it. We want this to continue.

Kelce and Swift went public in late September when the singer went to Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs beat the Chicago Bears.

In total, she attended 13 Chiefs games last year, including the Super Bowl in Las Vegas – where she returned after completing four Eras Tour dates in Tokyo, Japan, to see the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers.

Next year, Kelce and his Chiefs will pursue an unprecedented Super Bowl “three-peat” after back-to-back triumphs in football’s ultimate game.
