A burning car next to the Seattle Mariners’ T-Mobile Park sent a haze of smoke through the stadium Saturday night.

Their game against the Chicago Cubs was in the bottom of the fifth inning when television cameras cut to a burning vehicle on a highway near the stadium.

Smoke from the fire, north of the stadium, spread into the stadium and became extremely visible during the broadcast.

Television cameras then returned to the highway a few minutes later and showed that first responders were already on scene trying to put out the fire.

They were eventually able to stop the flames, but a mist hung over the stadium for a while longer.
