Samsung Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update release resumes in Korea

A few days ago, Samsung released the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S21 and S22, as well as its older foldable devices. However, due to a major software bug, Samsung had to stop rolling out the update to the Galaxy S22 series. However, the company has now resumed updating.

Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 update rollout resumes

Samsung has resumed (via @tarunvats33) the rollout of One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra in South Korea. The update carries the firmware version S90xNKSU3EXE1 and has a download size of approximately 3.2 GB. It can now be installed by going to Settings ยป Software update and typing Download and install.

This is a major software update, so make sure you download it over a Wi-Fi network. Also, make sure to backup your personal phone data before installing the new update. This update brings Circle to Search, real-time call and message translation, text to image translation, web page summary (Samsung Internet), note summary (Samsung Notes), voice transcription ( Samsung Voice Recorder), the generative image powered by AI. editing, AI-powered wallpaper generation, and much more.

You can check all the features of One UI 6.1 in our video below. However, the Galaxy S22 series missed out on some AI features with this update.

As promised, Samsung has resumed updating the Galaxy S22 in South Korea. We expect the update rollout to resume in other countries and regions. This update does not bring the May 2024 security patch. Keep checking your Galaxy S22 series phone for the update over the next few days.
