Princess Charlotte looks like Prince William in her birthday portrait

Princess Charlotte, the second child of Prince William and Princess Catherine of Wales, celebrates her ninth birthday today. As is royal tradition, Kensington Palace released a portrait in honor of his birthday. The cute photo, taken by Catherine, shows Charlotte smiling at the camera – and the internet has already decided that the photo shows a striking family resemblance to the princess’s father, William.

One X.com user wrote: “Charlotte looks like her dad’s twin.”

We have to admit: the resemblance is truly uncanny. From her eyes to her dazzling smile, Charlotte definitely takes after her father. The older the princess gets, the more she looks like William — and it’s super cute!

Of course, this isn’t the first time people have noticed the resemblance between father and daughter. Many royal fans noticed Charlotte’s similarities to her father last year when Kensington Palace released the portrait on his eighth birthday.

Although Charlotte can look very similar to her father, it seems she also inherited some things from her mother. In addition to her brunette locks (which, admittedly, totally remind us of Kate), Charlotte is also said to have inherited her mother’s fondness for the piano.
