Prince William looked delighted as he took his seat in one of the executive boxes at Villa Park on Thursday evening for Aston Villa’s Europa Conference League semi-final against Greek visitors Olympiacos.
The Prince of Wales is a self-confessed Clarets supporter and obviously refused to miss one of the club’s most historic nights in recent memory as Villa look to qualify for a major European final.
The royal was seen actively engaging in conversations with those around him and pointed out various things that were happening inside the pitch before kick-off.
William has been instrumental in helping his father, King Charles III, in his fight against cancer, while caring for his wife, the Princess of Wales, who is also undergoing cancer treatment, but he looked relaxed as he that he was going to Birmingham to check on his beloved. Villa in action.
Tucked away in the luxurious private seating area of the 42,640-seat stadium, William was animated alongside friends who had joined him and appeared to run the gamut of emotions in the first half.
