“The only thing I have to say today is that this is another reminder of the loss of my son Ron,” the grieving father said. “It’s yet another reminder of my son’s murder and a reminder of the many years we missed Ron.

“His death reminds us that Ron and Nicole were murdered by him. I will not respond to my thoughts on his death. I have nothing to say about him. My response will not be about OJ’s death but about the loss of my son’s life because of him. Thank you for your call. This is the only thing I have to say.

The last legal documents filed by Goldman’s lawyers were in June 2022, when they claimed OJ still owed more than $96 million and had only paid $133,000 since 1997.

In his interview with DailyMail.com, Cook described how he renewed the judgment in 2015, setting it at $57 million.

Two years later, when OJ was released from a Nevada prison after serving nine years for robbery and kidnapping, he estimated the debt at “just under $70 million.”

And in March 2021, a Nevada garnishment case indicated that the “amount owed” by Simpson was “$75,164,425.74.”

Court records from 1992 regarding his separation from his murdered wife, Nicole, indicated his net worth then was $10.8 million, with a monthly income of $55,000.

But according to documents filed by the Goldmans, he has only paid them $133,000 since they won their judgment against him.

He also had $42,000 a year in Social Security.

Cook and his colleagues have previously examined the assets of Simpson’s children, including alleged real estate purchases in Florida.

But now that the former NFL star has died, the attorney said they will look into the trusts and possibly file a lawsuit in Nevada probate court to get the money back.

“I’ve been doing this work for 47 years. We don’t know what’s in Nevada. We’ve had this problem for a long, long time,” he said.

“You can be shocked, you can approach something and say there’s nothing there.”
