Am I going to wreak more havoc on Spurs?

Alexander Isak, what a player.

In Newcastle’s 6-1 thrashing of Spurs last year, Isak stood out for me, scoring two goals in two minutes.

The Swedish striker has already scored 15 goals this season in just 23 games, five more than last campaign.

I told my colleague that I believe he is Eddie Howe’s best signing.

What do you guys think, right?

Spurs Team News – Bentancur STARTS

Rodrigo Bentencur is back in the Tottenham starting XI.

This is the only change from the team that beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 last week.

Is this 11 strong enough to take back three points today?

Newcastle Team News – TWO changes

Eddie Howe makes just two changes from the side that beat Fulham last week.

Elliott Anderson and Harvey Barnes come into the starting XI to replace the injured Joe Willock and Lewis Hall – who is on the bench.

Tino Livramento is also a shock inclusion as he is fit enough to be named on the bench.

I have to admit that it’s a pretty strong attack, despite the injuries.

Eddie Howe: ‘6-1 was a special game for us’

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe speaking on Friday:

It was a special match for us, everything went well. We were devastating in attack, we were ruthless. One of these days, we rarely come across football where everything goes the way we want it to.

It’s a totally different Tottenham team now. I admire them tactically and physically, I think Ange (Postecoglou) deserves a lot of credit for the way his philosophy was implemented and for his speed.

A day Geordies will never forget

You didn’t have to wait long.

If you’re a Tottenham fan, you might want to scroll past this article, but you won’t if you’re anyone else.

In this same game last season we saw the best of Newcastle from Eddie Howe and the worst of Tottenham without a manager.

The Magpies were relentless, scoring six against a hapless Spurs, with five of those goals coming in the first 21 minutes.

It was a match which showed the class gap between the two teams at the time and which will live long in the memories of both sets of supporters.

Surely we won’t have a repeat of that today, will we?

Ange Postecoglou: “This year has been difficult for Newcastle”

Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham boss, speaking on Friday:

Of course, there is a caveat here: reaching the Champions League also means higher demands.

Demands on the players, demands on the team and you have to prepare for it, otherwise it can affect every part of your season.

It’s been tough for Newcastle this year because last year’s progress was fantastic, the reward for that was the Champions League and this year, for some reason, it’s made for a really tough season on all fronts for them.

A happy hunting ground for Spurs… usually

Tottenham love to go to St James’ Park most of the time.

The north London side have won six of the last nine meetings between the two north-east sides.

However, these results are probably not on the minds of the current Tottenham team, but they will be.

You know what I’m talking about, but you’ll have to wait a little longer for this post.

Newcastle look to shock Spurs

Would it be a shock if Newcastle won today? I think that would be the case.

I’m just saying this because of the Magpies’ injury problems, not because they aren’t good enough to do it.

In reality, if Tottenham want to move Villa into the top four by the end of the season, they need to win here today.

Spurs still have to face the top three teams, they have a very tough matchup, but they can’t take their attention away from today.

This is a huge game for both teams and could determine where they finish this season.

You won’t be able to take your eyes off this one.

The effort for Europe continues!

Is football back yet?

You have to love the ending, football is non-stop, which is perfect for people like me who love the sport.

If you’re the same, you’ll love what the Premier League has on offer from kick-off as Tottenham travel to St James’s Park for revenge after last year’s horror show (I think fans of Newcastle will smile on the right). at present).

With both teams aiming for Europe in their own way and in a stadium known for creating an intimidating atmosphere, I think it’s going to be very enjoyable, don’t you think?

Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, make sure you don’t miss this one or you’ll regret it.
