Neal Maupay trolls Manchester United winger Antony for cupping his ears at Coventry players in FA Cup clash

Premier League liquidation dealer Neal Maupay insists he wouldn’t even have listened to Coventry players like Antony did.

The Manchester United winger made headlines for his reaction after beating Championship side Coventry on penalties in their thrilling FA Cup semi-final on Sunday.

The Red Devils had blown a 3-0 lead in normal time, with the Sky Blues sensationally reducing it to 3-3 and almost claiming victory, only for their fourth goal in extra time to be ruled out by VAR.

In the end, Manchester United were victorious, beating Coventry 4-2 on penalties – but although he ultimately sealed victory, Antony spoiled things by cocking his ears towards his opponents.

Now Brentford’s Maupay has revealed that even if he regularly looked after his own home, he wouldn’t have gone as far as Antony.

Reposting the clip of Antony’s antics on X, the Bees star wrote with a laughing face: “Just for the record, even I wouldn’t do that.”

Maupay himself has been in liquidation himself on several occasions this season.

This campaign alone, the Frenchman has appeared to tease Kyle Walker, James Maddison, Kevin Nolan, Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Scott McTominay.

He even had light chat with stars outside of football, including darts sensation Luke Littler.

He can now add Antony to his list.

While the Brazilian decided to goad the Coventry players following their impressive effort, Man United’s Harry Maguire was praised for deciding to shake their hands immediately.

The Red Devils will now face Manchester City in the FA Cup final next month on May 25.
