Miraculous escape in Sydney’s west as out-of-control car crashes through front door of bustling Guildford daycare full of children

Children at a western Sydney daycare were unhurt when a fleeing car crashed into the building’s entrance on Friday morning.

The red 2023 Toyota LandCruiser Prado crashed through the walls and front door of Kids World Kindy in Palmer Street in Guildford at around 10.15am.

But surprisingly, no one inside the building or in the car was injured during the incident.

Staff and children were evacuated from the badly damaged building through a rear exit while emergency services attended to the female driver in the centre’s car park.

Worried parents gathered at the center to collect their children following the accident, but were relieved to find everyone escaped unhurt.

“The children are doing well, they are all nice,” said one parent. “They are all good. »

“On arrival, officers from Cumberland Police Regional Command discovered a red Toyota SUV had collided with a wall,” a police spokesperson said.

“The driver – a woman in her thirties – was subjected to a roadside breathalyzer test, which came back negative.”
