Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are married, says Jon Bon Jovi

Jon Bon Jovi has confirmed that his son, Jake, has married British actress Millie Bobby Brown in an intimate ceremony.

Bon Jovi was asked about rumors that the couple had married during an appearance on BBC’s “The One Show” on Tuesday.

“They’re great,” Bon Jovi said when asked how the happy couple was doing.

“They are absolutely fantastic. It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked beautiful, and Jake is as happy as can be. And yes, it’s true,” he said, confirming reports of the marriage.

The couple first shared news of their engagement in April 2023, and Brown, 20, shared how Bongiovi, 22, proposed during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon in March.

“Basically, Jake and I bonded through diving. We love diving, we passed our driving tests together,” the “Stranger Things” star said, before explaining that his proposal took place underwater.

“He gives me like a shell and I like it, I turn it over and it’s a ring,” she said. “And I like, I looked at him and he was like,” Brown said, imitating Bongiovi speaking underwater.

“So I was like okay,” Brown said, making the okay gesture. “And I think it was disappointing, but we panicked.”

“Anyway, he put the ring on my hand and as I go to show him, the ring falls off my finger, falling apart so fast, it was like a cinematic movie,” said Brown.

Bongiovi managed a deep dive to retrieve the ring.

“Jake threw himself so deep, like the diver was saying, ‘You can’t do that, like your ears…literally your brain is going to explode.'”

“It reflects who he is and I feel like we’re always going to have each other’s backs and if someone drops the ball, we’ve got it,” Brown said.

And the couple has the support of Bon Jovi despite marrying at such a tender age.

“I don’t know if age matters,” he said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” in May 2023.

“You know, if you find the right partner and you grow together, I think that would really be my advice, growing together is wise,” he said.

“Growing up together and I think all my kids have found the people that they think they can grow up with and we love them all.”
