Max Verstappen wins – Firstpost

Max Verstappen had no mechanical issues this week as he has taken three wins in four races this season.

Max Verstappen was back as a Grand Prix winner as the three-time world champion won the Japanese GP on Sunday ahead of teammate Sergio Perez as Red Bull recorded a dominant one-two finish. The Dutchman suffered his first retirement since 2022 in Melbourne last time out to end a nine-race winning streak, but had no mechanical issues this week as he has taken three wins in four races this season.

Carlos Sainz, winner in Australia two weeks ago, ran on newer tires in the final stages of the race to edge Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc, who used a one-stop strategy, off the final podium in third place.

The Williams of Alex Albon and the RB of Daniel Ricciardo collided on the first lap, triggering a red flag and a 30-minute delay while debris was cleared and a barrier repaired. Both drivers escaped unhurt.
