Max Verstappen interview descends into chaos as TV reporter gets dragged into mid-conversation

An interview with Max Verstappen turned into chaos when a TV reporter was dragged away mid-interview.

The incident happened around 10 minutes before the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix as the Dutch star was walking to his car on the grid.

While Sky Sports reporter Rachel Brookes waited patiently for a word with the three-time world champion, Verstappen chatted with a reporter from Viaplay, which broadcast Formula 1 in the Netherlands.

But apparently without the necessary accreditation to speak to the superstar on the grid, the reporter in question was grabbed by an official and taken away.

Brookes laughed awkwardly before having a brief chat with Verstappen ahead of a race he managed to win despite pressure from Lando Norris.

The Red Bull star took pole position in Saturday’s qualifying session, leading a grid that saw Norris – who took his first F1 victory two weeks ago in Miami – start on the front row.

This pole at Imola allowed Verstappen to equal Ayrton Senna’s record of eight consecutive pole positions.

Verstappen secured victory but the Dutchman struggled late in the race as he was chased by his British rival.

He however managed to stave off the significant threat of Norris who finished in P2 in his McLaren, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished in P3.
