The 2024 NBA draft is in the books. two nights The selection process began on Wednesday with the first round and ended on Thursday with the second round. After much suspense, the Atlanta Hawks used the first pick to select the great French player Zaccharie Risacherwho was one of the four French people selected in the first round.
Although the new prospects were the stars of the event, no draft is complete without trades. NBA fans didn’t have to wait until draft night to get the first true blockbuster of the summer, as the Knicks made a splash on Tuesday in Reportedly Acquiring Mikal Bridges From Brooklyn Nets. The Nets added five first-round picks in that deal, but none of them were in the 2024 draft.
Several smaller deals were concluded over the two days. San Antonio Spurs traded 8th overall pick Rob Dillingham – their second lottery selection of the night – to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for an unprotected 2030 first-round pick and a swap of protected 2031 first-round picks.
Surprisingly, no veteran stars were traded in the draft. We’ll have to wait until later in the offseason for the bigger moves to unfold. Here’s a look at each draft-day trade:
