Kylian Mbappé’s name was booed during the announcement of the teams before the superb tifo was deployed by Paris Saint-Germain fans.

A superb tifo paying tribute to Kylian Mbappe was deployed on Sunday, after boos heard earlier in the evening.

Mbappe makes his first appearance for Paris Saint-Germain since announcing his departure from the club this summer with the French champions facing Toulouse.

This tifo was posted before kick-off, even if some PSG fans seem a little crude about Mbappé's departure.

The French striker is considered by some to be the best player in the world, with Thierry Henry calling Mbappe the greatest PSG player in their history.

He achieved a lot in the French capital with a Champions League title, the only major team honor that eluded him during his seven years representing PSG.

However, he received a mixed reception ahead of the Ligue 1 clash with boos and groans heard from the stands when his name was announced in the team papers at the Parc des Princes.

But many PSG fans then showed their appreciation for Mbappe by unfurling a tifo for him in the stands.

Mbappé, visibly impressed, took some time during his pre-match warm-up to show his appreciation for the spectacle.

Mbappe needed just eight minutes to make an impact against Toulouse by opening the scoring, but the away side hit back five minutes later through Thijs Dallinga.

The 25-year-old announced on Friday that he was leaving PSG, with a free transfer to Real Madrid mooted – although the player did not confirm this.

In a statement on social media, Mbappé said: “I always said I would speak to you when the time was right. I wanted to announce to you all that this is my last year at Paris Saint-Germain.

“I will not extend (my contract) and the adventure will end in a few weeks. I will play my last match at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.

“I have a lot of emotions. I had the chance and the great honor to be a member of the largest French club, one of the best in the world, which allowed me to arrive here and have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure.

“Growing as a player, of course, being around some of the best (players) in history. Some of the greatest champions. Meeting a lot of people and growing as a man too with all the glory and the mistakes. J ‘have done.”

No announcement on where Mbappé will play next has been made, however, French President Emmanuel Macron has hinted that the World Cup winner will be at the Bernabeu.

This comes after Macron asked Real Madrid to allow Mbappé to represent France at the Paris Olympics this summer.

Answering viewers’ questions in the video, Macron said: “I am counting on Real Madrid to release Kylian for the Olympic Games so that he can come and play with the France team.”

Mbappe joined PSG from Monaco on an initial loan deal in the summer of 2017 before making his move permanent the following season.

At PSG he won 14 trophies, including six league titles. He can also boast of a World Cup winner’s medal.
