Paul beat Ryan Bourland with a first-round stoppage in March and now went straight into this encounter.

Paul began his boxing career on the undercard of Tyson’s exhibition clash with Roy Jones Jr in 2020, and they will now face each other.

Tyson was once one of the most destructive heavyweights to enter the ring and demolished most of his opponents.

However, “Iron Mike” hasn’t been in the ring for four years and fans have expressed concerns regarding this fight.

Paul vs. Tyson: start date and time

This matchup will take place on Saturday, July 20 and will take place at the 80,000 capacity AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Departure times have not yet been announced but will be finalized in due course.

The fight is now confirmed to be an exhibition, but Tyson has insisted it will be fought under the rules and regulations of a “real fight”.

The fight is expected to take place in two-minute rounds instead of three, they will use 16-ounce gloves and there will be no jury.

Paul vs. Tyson: What was said?

Tyson admitted he was “scared to death” at the thought of boxing Paul.

“I have a weird personality, but I don’t think it’s weird. Whatever I’m afraid to do, I do it. That’s what it is,” Tyson told Fox News.

“I was scared of the Roy (Jones) fight. I was 100 pounds overweight, I was old though, 54, 53, and I said, ‘Let’s do it.’

“Whatever I’m afraid of, I face it. That’s my personality. Right now, I’m scared to death.

“I always believed that adversity and nerves catapulted me to success.

“If I didn’t have those feelings, I wouldn’t go into this fight. I have to have those feelings to fight. Without them, I would never go into the ring.

“The closer the fight gets, the less nervous I get because it’s reality, and in reality, I’m invincible.”

Confirming the rules of the fight, Tyson explained: “It’s called an exhibition, but if you look for an exhibition you won’t see any of the laws we fight under.

“It’s a struggle. I don’t think he’s faster than me. I saw a YouTube video of him at 16 doing weird dancing.

“He’s not the guy I’m fighting. He’s a guy who’s going to try to hurt me, which I’m used to, and he’s going to make a big mistake.”

Of Paul, he continued: “That’s exactly what I’ll do, but I don’t like him?

“I have no hard feelings against him, he’s magnificent – not from that point of view.”
