Influencers complain after exclusive Revolve afterparty divides them into a million ‘plus and minus’ followers and makes them wait three hours to attend.

Social media influencers have been left in shock after they were allegedly divided into groups based on their number of followers at Revolve’s afterparty at the Stagecoach festival.

The online fashion retailer co-hosted an afterparty with streetwear brand Pizzaslime at this year’s edition of the country music festival in California.

But in a bid to make the much-awaited party more exclusive, organizers reportedly placed a billboard stating the minimum number of followers required just outside the venue.

TikToker Rhegan Coursey (@rhegancoursey), who has 1.3 million followers, posted a video from the party’s entry point with the board in the background and told her followers: “I’m leaving the afterparty because of that sign.”

The images show one of the boards with the message: “Over 1 million followers, enter here” and an arrow pointing to the left.

Meanwhile, another sign displayed the message: “Less than 1 million followers, enter here” and a right-pointing arrow was also placed on the site.

The texts “Pizzaslime” and “Revolve” were also written on both signs.

Coursey could be heard telling his viewers: “This is so weird to me. Like what?

“I have exclusivity and shit, but we’re not celebrities. (We’re) normal people, I don’t know. It was really weird for me. I leave.

“I’ll probably never get invited to any of their parties now, but… all of them as soon as I get home.”

Many viewers and influencers came to support the TikToker and congratulated her for leaving the event despite having more than a million followers.

Abbie Herbert, a popular influencer with 15.5 million followers on TikTok, shared her disbelief and wrote: “This can’t be real.”

A creator named Anna, who goes by @annaxsitar and has 12 million followers on the video-sharing app, wrote: “UM WHAT,” while Christina Roki, who goes by @christinaroki, commented: ” You’re real.”

One viewer further wrote, “the fact that you’re over a million years old and still gone,” while another commented, “the fact that you’re gone.” automatic tracking.

Another user also wondered: “I want to know if there are people checking their phones at the entrance. »

But as Revolve attempted to maintain exclusivity at its event, guest influencers were quick to criticize the event’s “poor planning.”

According to NBC, guests could only access the festival by taking designated shuttles, which picked up guests at an empty parking lot about a mile and a half from the Merv Griffin Estate.

But influencers revealed on Instagram Stories and TikTok that transportation was disorganized and poorly equipped for large crowds.

Some even reported waiting for hours under the scorching sun, without food or water.

Averie Bishop, a designer who said she was invited to the festival but didn’t go due to poor transportation, revealed: “Influencers have a bad reputation as actors. However, aside from their influencer status, many people simply stood outside, waiting in the heat for two or three hours without water.

“It was a difficult and dangerous situation that could have easily been avoided.”

Bishop further said that “very few” buses rotate between the venue and the pick-up point and that they pick up guests more frequently from the VIP line than from the general admission line.

“My friend and I decided to simply give up our freedom as conditions deteriorated. A girl was about to faint and a security guard rushed to find water,” she commented.

Revolve has yet to publicly comment on the allegations made by these influencers.
