How Much Disney Jobs Pay Across Streaming and Other Roles

  • Disney has established itself as the formidable No. 2 Netflix in terms of streaming.
  • Business Insider combed through public data to get a look at how much Disney pays U.S. employees.
  • The company offered base salaries between $96,782 and $400,000 for streaming and other jobs.

Disney is one of the most coveted places to work in streaming, as it has established itself as a top player after Netflix.

The Mouse House had some 225 million paying subscribers on Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ starting in late 2023.

And, while the company cut thousands of jobs in 2023, streaming remains a recruitment area. Disney has listed 75 direct-to-consumer job openings on its site, including content programmers, software engineers and designers.

Business Insider has updated its analysis of how much Disney pays for jobs, based on salary data disclosures from late 2021 through 2023. Disney jobs can pay annual salaries between $96,782 and $400,000 per year .

The public data, released by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Foreign Labor Certification, shows how much Disney said it would pay foreign staff it wanted to hire in the United States on work visas. Companies are legally required to pay foreign workers the same wages as domestic employees. So the data gives a pretty good overview of what Disney offers for a range of positions, primarily in the technology sector.

The data included 135 salaries at Hulu and 103 salaries at other Disney divisions, including streaming jobs. It included only base salaries, not forms of compensation such as stock options or cash bonuses.

Our comprehensive analysis details salaries for specific jobs, including in the streaming, consumer products, parks, and other divisions of Hulu and Disney.
