“Help me help you!” » – Thiago Silva’s wife denounces reports of ‘agreed transfer’ after Chelsea exit

Thiago Silva’s wife has denied claims the Chelsea defender has agreed to a return to Brazilian club Fluminense.

The 39-year-old defender will leave the Blues when his contract expires at the end of the season – but it remains to be seen where he will go next.

Silva, who announced his departure in an emotional video on Monday, is expected to continue playing, having shown his lasting quality at elite level despite his age.

Brazilian newspaper Globo reports that the Brazilian veteran has agreed to return to Fluminense, where he played between 2006 and 2009.

However, Silva’s wife Belle took to social media to throw cold water on the rumors.

She said, “Help me help you! You don’t know anything! This anxiety is getting in the way of things that could work! You’re getting in the way! Stop posting fake news!”

Reports earlier in the week suggested Silva had the option to stay in the Premier League, with three London clubs thought to be interested.

Silva is based in the English capital and his children play for Chelsea’s academy in Cobham.

After four years at Stamford Bridge, Silva has hinted he will return soon.

He said: “Chelsea means a lot to me.

“I think in everything I’ve done here over these four years, I’ve always given it my all.

“But unfortunately everything has a beginning, a middle and an end. That doesn’t mean it’s a definitive end. I hope to leave the door open to be able to return in the near future, albeit in a different role here .

“But… it’s an indescribable love. I can only say thank you.

“It’s hard enough to say goodbye in the most normal circumstances, but when there is mutual love, it’s even harder. But once a bruise, always a bruise.”
