Prosecutor David Burns told the court that 15 minutes later Monzo allegedly burst into a nearby house where a couple were sleeping with their four-year-old daughter.

He entered the bedroom and attacked the child’s father, shouting that he believed in God and causing injuries to his neck and arm, it is claimed.

Monzo is accused of then running behind Daniel, who was on his way to school, and slitting his neck, before stabbing him in the chest as he lay on the ground.

Officers arrived and attempted to help the teen, when it appeared Monzo appeared from a bush and they chased him.

The court heard he jumped on a police officer and attacked her with the sword while she was on the ground.

He is also accused of injuring a second officer.

Wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray tracksuit bottoms, and holding his left arm across his chest, Monzo spoke slowly to confirm his name in the dock at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.

Social media photos show Monzo smiling and giving a thumbs up with a collection of medals around his neck after winning a sporting competition.

On Boxing Day last year, he posted another video on the same Instagram page showing him having fun dressed as Robin Hood during an archery competition. He spoke in Portuguese while joking with his friends.

Elsewhere on social media, Monzo describes himself as a “mystic and musician”.

He also presents himself as director of a company based in London, now dissolved.

Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring remanded him in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday if a hearing is not available on Friday.

Daniel was last night remembered as a “true scholar” with a “gentle character” – as his well-wishers raised more than £28,000 on GoFundMe for a celebration of his life.

The 14-year-old reportedly brought smiles to faces every time he entered the room, while being described as a “much-loved” boy who brought joy to his family and was an “admirable” student at his prestigious school independent. .

Daniel was killed shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday when a stranger wielding a samurai-style sword allegedly attacked him in the street, just meters from his front door.

Aiste Dabasinskaaite revealed how she tried to warn Daniel but it was too late. She said: “My instinct was to shout and wave at him, which me and another neighbor did, but as he had his headphones on I don’t think he heard us.

“It was kind of a moment where we went from screaming to empty, feeling empty.”

Neighbor Sheryl Carter said: “I heard a scream coming from (Daniel’s) mother. My neighbor saw her running and she had to be restrained by the police.

She heard Mrs. Anjorin say, “I only spoke to him a minute ago.”

Close friends revealed that Daniel’s respected Nigerian parents believe they will be reunited as a family in heaven.

Janti Charalambous and Ade Caxton-Cole have known the football-loving Arsenal fan since he was little.

They explained: “He was a happy boy – he brought a lot of joy to his family and his life has just been taken away from him.”

The couple added: “The family is shocked and heartbroken. Such a young boy removed from the family.

“Their faith sustains them and we all support them in whatever form they need.”
