Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra obtain 3C certification before Unpacked

What could be one of the busiest Galaxy Unpacked events in a long time will take place in Paris in about three weeks. Samsung will unveil two new foldable devices, two wireless earbuds, two smartwatches and its first-generation smart ring at this event, and some products may be available for pre-reservation as early as June 26.

For smartwatch enthusiasts, Samsung is adding the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra to its merry band of Wear OS-powered watches. And it appears the company is getting closer to all the certifications it needs to start selling the new devices.

Galaxy Watch 7 3C certification contradicts information obtained through its FCC certification

This week, Samsung obtained Chinese Mandatory Certification (3C) in China. As always, 3C lists some charging information for upcoming devices, and this information contradicts what has been reported by the FCC.

The FCC listed the Galaxy Watch 7 with 15W support, while 3C testing was done using a 10W charger. That’s not to say the FCC was wrong. Rather, this suggests that the 15W charger could be an optional purchase and that the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra will ship with the older 10W charger in the box.

We’ll have to wait until the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra become official to find out which charger, if any, comes in the box. In the meantime, watch the video below to discover some of the best features in the Samsung ecosystem.
