Furious Ray Hadley lashes out at Sonny Bill Williams over football star’s shocking act after Bishop stabbed in Sydney terror attack

Radio host Ray Hadley hit Sonny Bill Williams with burning spray after the ex-football star shared a message from accused rape social media influencer Andrew Tate following the murder of a bishop from Sydney on Monday evening.

Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel was preaching at Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley, west Sydney, shortly after 7 p.m. on Monday when a 16-year-old boy dressed in black approached the altar and allegedly stabbed him several times.

Footage of the attack quickly circulated on social media, with Williams, 38, sharing it from Tate’s X account, with the influencer linking the stabbing attack to comments Bishop Emmanuel allegedly made about the war between Israel and Gaza.

Hadley lashed out at the former NRL and All Blacks star turned Channel Nine footy commentator on Wednesday morning, claiming he had a “brain the size of a cumquat” and attacking his stupidity for sharing the post.

Williams (pictured) reposted a message from accused rape social media influencer Andrew Tate just after the attack on Monday night.

“I don’t know how this guy continued to be employed by the network that employs me,” Hadley began.

“It’s his lack of knowledge of world affairs, let alone what’s going on in western Sydney.”

Hadley then read the Daily Mail Australia story before telling her listeners: “If you don’t know Andrew Tate, apparently he’s a hero to a lot of young men, he’s a misogynist, he lives somewhere in Romania and he can’t leave.

“He is in Romania with his brother, on trial for rape, human trafficking and forming an organized criminal group aimed at sexually exploiting women.

“He’s the kind of guy you want to retweet.

“So this guy Tate, from Romania, far away from Wakeley, sees the footage, then posts something that was retweeted by Sonny Bill Williams.

Tate’s post (pictured) baselessly links the stabbing attack to Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel’s supposed position on Israel’s war in Gaza.

“His original post on Twitter linked the stabbing to comments Archbishop Emmanuel allegedly made about the war between Israel and Gaza – on which he (Emmanuel) has, to my knowledge, made no statement ( about this topic).

“He certainly criticized some Muslims, given that he is a religious Christian.

“So even though the stabbing was declared a terrorist act by NSW Police, Tate – who faces allegations of human trafficking, rape and forming an organized group sexually exploiting women – kind of the guy you want to be associated with there, Sonny Bill – he captioned the video of the attack, and here’s what he said.

“First of all, the bishop is a Christian bishop who has a problem with some members of the Muslim faith. But this idiot from Romania said: “An anti-Zionist ‘stop killing little Muslim girls’ preacher was stabbed in Sydney, Australia.”

Hadley said the former NRL and All Blacks star (pictured playing for the Bulldogs) had a “brain the size of a cumquat” – and it’s not the first time he’s said so takes from the Nine commentator.

“Sonny Bill, with a brain the size of a cumquat, reposted and said “praying for his full recovery,” alongside an open palm emoji.

“So he thinks Tate is right to call the bishop an anti-Zionist…Be helpful someday, Sonny Bill, if you ask someone to pick up the paper and read it to you.”

This isn’t the first time Hadley has attacked Williams.

In October last year, he called the devout Muslim “crazy” for supporting Hamas’ attack on Israel.

“Like I said, if brains were dynamite, Sonny Bill Williams wouldn’t blow his ears off,” the 2GB star said.

“This is embarrassing for me and others connected to this radio and television station for which he is employed – and I think the CEO of the company should review his employment prospects.”
