Football accumulator tips for this weekend (April 27-28, 2024)

We have another big Premier League weekend to look forward to, with all 20 teams in the division in action.

We have focused on five of the matches that will take place on Saturday and Sunday, choosing a betting prediction for each of them.

A £10 stake on our three-step acca would return £77.73, while the same stake on our five-step version offers a potential return of £285.

Manchester United vs Burnley: Man Utd wins and both teams score (6/4)

Manchester United came from behind twice to beat bottom-placed Sheffield United in midweek.

It wasn’t a convincing performance from Erik ten Hag, but the hosts deserved to win nonetheless.

Burnley are the next visitors to Old Trafford. They must at least avoid defeat to maintain their slim hopes of survival. So we should see Vincent Kompany’s side show some attacking intent against a patched-up United backline.

However, over the course of the 90 minutes, United’s superior individual quality shone through.

That’s what happened against Sheffield United, as Bruno Fernandes stepped up and took control of his team.

Burnley can score at Old Trafford, but Ten Hag’s men should find a way to win.

⚽ Advise Manchester United to win and both teams to score at 6/4 with bet365 ⚽

Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal: both teams score and over 2.5 goals (8/11)

The Premier League’s showpiece match is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, when Tottenham Hotspur take on arch-rivals Arsenal.

Both sides need points for different reasons. Arsenal are locked in what now appears to be a two-way title fight with Manchester City.

As for Spurs, they could be nine points out of the top four by the time this match – which is one of their three games in hand – kicks off. A defeat would leave them with a mountain to climb in their quest for Champions League football.

The North London derby is one of the most entertaining matches in English football. Meetings between this couple rarely disappoint.

Ange Postecoglou is an attack-minded manager, so Tottenham will go for it despite being an underdog. Needless to say, this is good news for neutrals.

Opt for both teams to score and go over 2.5 goals at 8/11 with bet365

Wolves vs Luton Town: Luton or draw (4/5)

The relegation battle has narrowed in recent days after Everton and Brentford both moved clear of the bottom three and Crystal Palace secured their survival.

Burnley still have a chance of surviving, but in reality it looks like a battle between Luton Town and Nottingham Forest for 17th place.

This trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers is therefore vital for the Hatters, especially because Forest must face Manchester City on Sunday.

Wolves have had some bad luck with injuries lately and they don’t have anything tangible left to play for this season.

This is good news for Luton, who can pick up a result against a team who have not won any of their last six matches.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea: Aston Villa winner (6/5)

Aston Villa can move nine points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in the race for fourth place going into the late kick-off on Saturday.

Even though the Spurs would then have three games in hand, a nine-point deficit could prove insurmountable.

Chelsea are also still in the race for European football, but their confidence will have been further shaken by Tuesday’s 6-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino will be waiting for a response from his players, but Aston Villa have the bit between their teeth at the moment.

Chelsea won at Villa Park in the FA Cup earlier this year, but we expect the hosts to triumph in this one.

Newcastle United vs Sheffield United: Newcastle over 2.5 goals (4/6)

Sheffield United’s run is almost over. A defeat at St James’ Park would send them back to the Championship, while a draw would leave them nine points from safety with three matches remaining.

Newcastle were far from their best in a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, but Eddie Howe’s side are a different beast in their seat.

Only four teams in the division have collected more points in front of their own fans than Newcastle. No team has scored more goals on familiar ground.

In other words, this is a clash between the best home attack in the Premier League and the worst overall defense in the Premier League. Newcastle can easily find the back of the net three or more times.

⚽ Pick Newcastle to score over 2.5 goals at 4/6 with bet365 ⚽
