Footage has emerged of Nottingham Forest’s three penalty calls against Everton after the club criticized the VAR official.

The Midlands club – at the heart of a relegation battle at the bottom of the Premier League – claimed to have warned PGMOL about the bias of a VAR official.

Forest also said they would “consider their options” after the defeat at Goodison Park.

Their 2-0 defeat put Everton four points clear of Forest in the battle for survival.

Since their tweet, a video has emerged showing each controversial incident at Goodison Park.

On X (formerly Twitter), the club issued a blunt statement.

It read: “Three extremely poor decisions – three penalties not given – that we simply cannot accept.

“We warned the PGMOL that the VAR was a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change it. Our patience was tested on several occasions.

“NFFC will now consider its options.”

Speaking after the match, Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo revealed: “I don’t understand the reason for Anthony Taylor and VAR’s decisions because I see the footage.

“But it’s a general feeling that stays with us, we try to ignore it and very often it’s about repeating bad decisions against us, without making fun of it.”

“Even if we take things, it is very difficult to control. The players and I are trying to concentrate on football because it has been very hard.

“The situation we find ourselves in doesn’t help, now we have stress and fear but that’s not an excuse. It’s clear what’s happening to us, not only in this match.

“I saw the pictures. It’s hard to take. It’s a pen on Gio Reyna, it’s a kick, it’s a handball and it’s understandable that we are proactive as a club because we want things to go well.

“We don’t want bad referees, we want good decisions. If we lose because of a bad performance we take it, but they are disappointing decisions.

Nottingham Forest are set to find out whether they will regain one of four points lost for breaching the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules.

The club are appealing the sanction and Mail Sport previously revealed the hearing would begin in the coming week.
