Drew Rosenhaus on Tyreek Hill’s contract: ‘The Dolphins know how we feel’

No, Tyreek Hill’s contract does not age well. And suddenly he ages quickly.

As reported last week, Hill has wanted a new contract since the end of the 2023 season. The new contract signed by Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has accelerated the urgency. Justin Jefferson’s contract will surely push the situation to critical mass.

In an interview with Josh Moser, agent Drew Rosenhaus was asked about Hill’s contract compared to others who have moved ahead of him this year, from AJ Brown to Amon-Ra St. Brown to Jaylen Waddle and, more recently, Jefferson.

“Let’s just say it’s safe to acknowledge that I’ve been in contact with (general manager) Chris Grier and (senior vice president of football and business administration) Brandon Shore of the Dolphins, you know, I definitely have a smooth line of communication with them,” Rosenhaus said. “And I shared with them how Tyreek feels. And I also reiterate that Tyreek said he would love to finish his career here with the Dolphins. Without going into more details, dolphins know how we feel.”

This is how they feel. They want the situation to be rectified. He is expected to earn $19.765 million this year. His actual average is $25 million, since the $30 million figure comes from an unrealistic $45 million in 2026 compensation.

And even though Hill said he wants to retire with the Dolphins, he also said “sign me”. Which means “pay me”.

It’s so simple. Especially with Waddle making $28.25 million per year in new money and now hitting the top of the market at $35 million.
