“Stop him!” » – Fans are stunned as Patrick Beverley completely collapses, throwing the ball into the stands and blasting the reporter in the locker room as the Bucks collapse
Patrick Beverley completely broke down in public.
Some NBA fans hate the veteran Milwaukee Bucks guard — and now want him suspended by the league or arrested.
Other fans love Beverley’s antics, which often see the fiery substitute going out of his way to irritate and distract his opponents.
But the Bucks’ once-promising season completely fell apart on Thursday and Beverley quickly spiraled out of control.
His first incident was incredible.
In the final minutes of a 120-98 road loss to Indiana that gave the Pacers a 4-2 victory in the Eastern Conference first round, Beverley stood up near the Milwaukee bench and shot a basketball back.
The ball hit a nearby fan in the face and the fan collided with another fan sitting in the next seat.
When a third fan lightly bounced the ball back to Beverley after a few seconds, the strange situation got even crazier.
The 35-year-old guard returned the ball with intensity, launching it into a section of Indiana fans wearing yellow Pacers shirts.
“Before the trial,” one fan tweeted.
“Direct assault,” posted a second fan.
“Stop him!” »wrote a third fan.
Charles Barkley hammered Beverley, predicting he would soon be in trouble with the NBA.
“He’s gone,” the TNT analyst said. “He’s going to be suspended. Man, he hit that lady in the head.
“It didn’t matter who he tried to hit. You can’t hit any woman.”
This should have been the low point for Beverley and the Bucks, who were expected to be NBA championship contenders after a blockbuster trade for Damian Lillard.
But Giannis Antetokounmpo was out of action due to injury, Lillard was limping and Beverley was spiraling out of control.
After the match, in the locker room, he interrupted an interview and lashed out at a reporter several times.
The reason for Beverley’s insult was even worse.
“Are you subscribed to my pod(cast)?” Beverley asked a nearby reporter holding an ESPN microphone.
“Do I subscribe? No,” the journalist said.
“Then you can’t interview me,” the NBA player said.
Beverley then twice pushed the ESPN microphone “out of my face,” even though the device appeared to be a normal distance away.
“What a loser, man,” one fan tweeted. “He’s so angry.”
“For the second time today (Patrick Beverley) you are a piece of shit,” posted a second fan.
“Weird behavior, this is awesome,” a third fan wrote.
Beverley has spent years working and earning the respect of NBA fans.
But his childish behavior reminded basketball fans why many fans can’t stand Beverley and want him out of the league.
“Get rid of him,” one fan tweeted.
