Beyoncé Lyrics Becomes Dolly Parton’s Classic Song Jolene were not expected by the composer of the song, a certain Dolly Parton.
Parton revealed to E! News she didn’t know Beyoncé was putting her own spin on the song.
“When they said she was going to do Jolene, I expected it to be my usual, but it wasn’t. But I love what she did. And as a songwriter, you love the fact that people sing your songs, however they do them. »

Parton provided an introduction to Beyoncé’s version of Jolene on the Cowboy Carter album. “Hey, Miss Honey Bey. It’s Dolly P. You know that bitch with the beautiful hair you were singing about?
