Dodgers-Mets May 27, 2024, game postponed

NEW YORK — The start of a highly anticipated series between the Dodgers and Mets has been postponed due to rain.

With thunderstorms beginning to hit Queens Monday afternoon and expected to continue through the evening, the teams pushed back their series opener originally scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET. This matchup will be a single-entry doubleheader on Tuesday starting at 4:10 p.m. ET. The second match will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first.

Mets starter Tylor Megill, who was expected to come off the injured list to pitch Monday, will instead start the first game of the doubleheader. José Quintana will start Game 2.

The Dodgers changed their rotation so Tyler Glasnow could start Game 1. The starter originally scheduled for Monday, Gavin Stone, will start the second game.

Fans with tickets to Monday’s game cannot use them for Tuesday’s doubleheader, but they can exchange them for tickets to any future game (excluding the Subway Series on June 25-26, but including Tuesday’s double). Tickets for the game originally scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET on Tuesday are valid for both games. Complete information is available at Mets.com/Rain.
