Dak Prescott hints he could LEAVE Dallas Cowboys in 2025 as QB enters final year of $160M deal: ‘After this season we’ll see where we are’

Dak Prescott has hinted that he could leave the Dallas Cowboys after next season.

Prescott will be 31 the next time he throws a pass in the NFL, as he enters the final season of his 4-year contract worth $160 million.

Based on Prescott’s comments, a new contract being finalized before the start of the season seems unlikely and has the team’s franchise quarterback prone to free agency.

The Cowboys did not advance to a conference championship game during Prescott’s tenure with the team despite repeated success in the regular season.

Prescott has played for the Cowboys his entire NFL career, since being selected by the team in the fourth round of the 2016 draft.

Prescott has hinted at the possibility of leaving Dallas as he enters the final year of his contract.

“I have no fear. I’m not going to say that I’m afraid to be here or not. To be honest with you, I don’t fear either situation,” Prescott said Sunday night. “I love this game, I love playing and I love getting better as a player and my teammates around me. “

“Right now it’s with the Dallas Cowboys, that’s where I want to be, and that’s where I am and that’s the goal,” Prescott added. “After the season we will see where we are and if the future holds it. If not, go from there.

Prescott may be entering his fourth decade on the planet, but would be considered a starter outside of Dallas, where finding a franchise quarterback is a primary goal in the league.

Kirk Cousins, almost 36 years old, has just signed a $180 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons. Aaron Rodgers will turn 41 in December and has joined the New York Jets.

Prescott would have a similar market, while the Cowboys would likely be concerned about losing one of their most consistent players over the past decade.
