Conor McGregor gives ‘electric’ Ryan Garcia bizarre advice following incredible win over Devin Haney

Conor McGregor offered Ryan Garcia some words of wisdom after the biggest win of his career.

The former UFC double-weight champion went backstage to meet Garcia immediately following his knockout loss to Gervonta Davis in April 2023.

Even in defeat, he saw something special in the young boxing starlet, so he wasn’t surprised when he overcame the odds to beat WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney on Saturday night.

Garcia, who was ineligible to become world champion because he was underweight, scored three knockdowns en route to a majority decision victory in New York.

The 25-year-old then received a message from McGregor, who attached three photos from his appearance during Garcia’s fight with Davis last year.

“Yeah Jesus and the sesh!” You know everything, peasants, stay out of our ears! Well to Garcia,” he tweeted.

“An incredible fight of two champions! I have now fought 7 times! It’s incredible. Some people are just born to fight! Some are not. If you’re not sure I’m a good picker, because I’m hungry.

“God bless the men and teams in this crazy world and congratulations to Ryan Garcia! Tonight is your night, I knew when he fought Tank that this guy was electric. Even in defeat.

“I went backstage after he got busted in the body last time. Only his relatives were present. To me, one win or one loss will never make or break a person. When you know, you know. The fighters know it. The real one knows. Only God knows!

“Now the real fight takes place for the young man too! Stay strong kid, believe the advice of the Lord and stay tight like the frogs ass in Versace my boy hahaha yes!

Garcia, who sparked concerns about his erratic behavior before the fight, admitted after his victory that he drank alcohol daily before his clash with Haney.

“I drank every night,” he said in a post-fight press conference.

“What happened? I won. I’m not necessarily proud of it, but I’m just saying. It was a statement to say that you can’t really fuck with me. I can do whatever I want.”

McGregor’s advice to “drink responsibly every night” is the last thing he needs to hear as he prepares to enter another fight camp ahead of an inevitable rematch with Haney.
