Kai Havertz admits he’s about to break strict Arsenal fan protocol with every other Gooner

Kai Havertz has revealed he is willing to break the No. 1 rule when it comes to being an Arsenal player: supporting Tottenham.

The Arsenal star admitted he would be the ‘biggest Tottenham fan ever’ as the title race goes down to the wire.

Manchester City are a point behind the Gunners but have a game in hand – against Tottenham on Tuesday evening.

It means the red half of north London will be counting on their rivals to help them by securing a result against the Premier League champions.

For Arsenal players and fans, they may have to commit the biggest sin possible as a Gooner: rooting for Spurs.

That includes Havertz, who revealed he and his teammates will all wear white on Tuesday – going against every moral fiber in their Arsenal body.

The Germany international, whose past includes a spell with Tottenham’s fellow rivals Chelsea where he won the Champions League, told Sky Sports after Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday: “I I’m going to be the biggest Tottenham fan ever on Tuesday.

“We’re all going to be! So let’s hope for the best.”

If City fail to win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it will ensure Arsenal go into the final day at the top of the table.

In the event of a draw, the Gunners will remain in the lead thanks to their three-goal advantage.

However, a victory for Tottenham would allow Arsenal to go into the final day knowing that a victory would guarantee them the title.

Arsenal face Everton at the Emirates on Sunday while City take on West Ham at the Etihad, with both teams expected to claim victory.

Arsenal legend Paul Merson says he will get a Tottenham Hotspur tattoo if they beat Manchester City to help the Gunners win the title.

Mikel Arteta’s men took a big step towards a first title in 20 years this weekend by beating United at Old Trafford.

Leandro Trossard’s 12th Premier League goal secured all three points, with Havertz getting the assist at a time when Casemiro was criticized for his defending.

Arteta said after the victory: “We wanted to open that door to say that in the last game in front of our people, our families will be there.

“And let’s leave one of the happiest days we’ve ever had together and see what happens.”
