College Football 25: EA Sports shares new details on Dynasty mode

With about two weeks to go until College Football 25’s release, EA Sports has finally shared details on the fan-favorite Dynasty mode, detailing all of the tools players can access in their quest to build a college football dynasty.

In this new gameplay dive, EA Sports revealed that College Football 25’s Dynasty mode will let you start as a head coach, or start more humble as a coordinator and work your way up. More interestingly, there are different skill trees divided into three main pillars, which you can learn more about below:

  • Motivation : A coach who can motivate his players to play at their best
  • Recruiter: Someone who is good at recruiting the best players of each draft year
  • Tactician: Expert in improving player ratings on game day by developing plays that can help win big games

EA Sports says that every choice and decision you make will impact Dynasty mode beyond just recruiting the best players possible. How you build your team will also impact your program’s performance. To add a touch of immersion to the game, EA Sports revealed that players who choose to become head coaches will be able to manage their team during conference championship week, allowing them to fire their coordinators during that week and hire new coordinators during the first week of bowl games, provided there is a spot available.

Lots of customization possibilities

Like Road to Glory, College Football 25’s Dynasty mode will also feature name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals, and the transfer portal will be a vital tool for recruiting purposes as you recruit high school talent and current student-athletes looking to transfer to another school. Other interesting tidbits include Dynasty mode, which gives players the opportunity to convince kids to stay at your school if they decide to enter the transfer portal or enter the NFL Draft.

When recruiting players, everyone will have different desires and goals that they want to achieve at the school they are considering committing to. Recruits might care about things like playing time, likelihood of winning championships, building their brand to earn more NIL contracts, staying close to home, coaching staff stability, and academic prowess, just to name a few.

But the most interesting thing coming to College Football 25’s Dynasty mode is the ability to realign football conferences. Each conference is set with the 2024 realignment (for example, Texas and Oklahoma are heading to the SEC and Colorado is heading to the Big 12). However, players can customize the conferences. So, for example, you could bring the University of Maryland back into the ACC or revive the PAC-12.

College Football 25 is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on July 19 or July 16 for those who purchase the Deluxe Edition.
