Charlie Woods is set to compete in a local 18-hole US Open qualifier in Florida this week as he looks to earn a spot at No. 2 Pinehurst this summer.

The 15-year-old golf prodigy, who is the son of 82-time PGA Tour winner Tiger Woods, will play at Legacy Golf & Tennis Club in Port St. Lucie on Thursday with his tee time set for 8:18 a.m. ET. .

Of the 84 qualified players, five will advance to the 36-hole qualifying final in June.

Approximately 90 to 100 players will then qualify for the 124th Open, which will be played at the famous Pinehurst No. 2 for the fourth time in the tournament’s history.

Former major champions, as well as the top 60 players in the official world rankings and the top 30 in last year’s PGA Tour FedEx Cup standings are exempt from qualifying.
