Charles Schwab Challenge: What was said?

Scotsman MacIntyre recorded a brilliant top 10 finish at the PGA Championship as he continues to impress in the United States.

MacIntyre is still waiting for his first PGA Tour victory and he hopes to build on his recent good form in Fort Worth.

After his final run at Valhalla, he said: “It was a great week.

“It’s the first time I felt like I was really in a major championship before the final round. I didn’t really have my best on Sunday, but it was solid in things that I worked on, and more personally and almost emotionally, it really worked.

“I stayed patient, I kind of got my reward, and it’s so nice to see that I can stay in the fight and you don’t know what can happen in the end. I got my reward.”

MacIntyre has made no secret of the fact that he has struggled to adapt to the PGA Tour this season, but he recently benefited enormously from a three-week stay in Scotland.

He added: “I just feel like I’m chasing my tail all the time here because we don’t play the big events, so you have to play when you get the chance, and it’s hard to do that. do when you store the clubs for a few weeks and don’t touch them.

“But I’m in good form, good things are happening in my game and my team around me have been brilliant and continue to push forward and want to move forward.”
