As if losing more points wasn’t enough of a blow, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and striker Mohamed Salah appeared to have a heated exchange at West Ham United on Saturday. As Klopp tried to play down the alleged row, Salah claimed there would be a “fire” if he spoke about it after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw.
The Reds were desperate to bounce back from a painful midweek defeat to Merseyside rivals Everton. In a bid to revive his tired team, Klopp dropped Salah to the bench.
With Premier League title chances fading, Liverpool recovered from a dropped goal to take a 2-1 lead midway through the second half at the London Stadium.
It appears the argument started when Salah avoided shaking Klopp’s hand.

But Michail Antonio effectively ended their faint Premier League title hopes when he headed in the equalizer in the 77th minute – just as Salah looked set to come on.
Salah was waiting to be substituted before Antonio’s goal and had a heated conversation with Klopp, appearing angry with his German manager.

It ended with another substitute, Darwin Nunez, forced to intervene as he pushed away teammate Salah before they entered the fray.
“We talked about it in the dressing room and it’s done for me,” Klopp said in the final weeks of his Anfield reign.
Asked if Salah agreed, Klopp replied: “That was my impression.”

However, when Salah walked past reporters and was asked to stop, he admitted: “There will be a fire today if I speak.” »
The 31-year-old Egyptian has struggled to return to peak form since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, scoring just one goal in his last six matches.
The striker has been linked with a move away from Anfield at the end of the season, with Saudi clubs reportedly interested.
