⚡Quick Betting Tips Borussia Dortmund vs VfB Stuttgart

Borussia Dortmund vs VfB Stuttgart predictions

In traditionally the most difficult match of the Bundesliga season, Borussia Dortmund showed themselves proud.

A 2-0 win over Bayern Munich last weekend wasn’t a complete shock given the Bavarians’ struggles this season. But Bayern started the match as heavy favorites and were widely expected to get the job done in front of their own fans.

Dortmund’s recent record in The classic is lamentable. Before Saturday, BVB had lost nine games and drawn one of the previous ten meetings between Germany’s two biggest clubs.

The rivalry had become one-sided. Dortmund faced Bayern during Jurgen Klopp’s tenure and regularly got the better of them. But between the start of 2019 and March 2024, they did not taste victory against their Munich opponents.

After Dortmund’s victory, Thomas Tuchel admitted his team’s title hopes were over. Bayer Leverkusen will now take home the prize with just three more wins.

Naturally, most of the post-match chatter focused on Bayern, who are having one of their worst seasons in the Bundesliga in some time.

Credit also goes to Dortmund, who beat Bayern in Munich for the first time in a decade.

Edin Terzic understood his game plan perfectly. BVB were content to cede possession, leaving the ball to their opponents for long periods.

When they got it, Dortmund didn’t wait: their attacking approach was built around quick counter-attacks before Bayern could settle into a defensive shape.

Terzic hasn’t made all the right decisions this season, but he outperformed Tuchel last weekend. He will now look to do the same against Sebastian Hoeness, who has been superb in the Stuttgart dugout throughout the 2023/24 season.

Both teams are pushing to qualify for the Champions League and the outcome of Saturday’s clash at Signal Iduna Park will be decisive. For neutrals, this should be a pleasant affair.

Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgart predictions

Fourth meets third in the Bundesliga on Saturday, as Borussia Dortmund host Stuttgart at Signal Iduna Park.

Borussia Dortmund winner – 5/4 (MGM bet)

If Bayer Leverkusen weren’t on the verge of winning the Bundesliga title, Stuttgart would probably be receiving a lot more attention right now.

THE Rotten were almost sent back to the 2. Bundesliga last season, but victory in the relegation play-offs ultimately ensured them another season of top-flight football.

They’re doing more than just surviving this campaign. Stuttgart currently sit in third place, just two points behind second-placed Bayern Munich.

A seven-point buffer above RB Leipzig in fifth means they are on course to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League, although Hoeness will take nothing for granted.

These two teams are in great shape. Dortmund have made it five straight wins in all competitions, while Stuttgart have taken 23 points from the last 27 available.

There is unlikely to be much between Dortmund and Stuttgart here. Overall, home-field advantage could be a deciding factor.

Both teams score and more than 2.5 goals – 8/13 (pari365)

Against Bayern Munich last time out, Borussia Dortmund delivered the kind of measured performance they haven’t always been capable of of late.

It will be a different challenge. Stuttgart will award the ball to Dortmund, just like the latter did against Bayern. BVB must be patient, but not too much. Possession must be associated with penetration.

Bayern, Bayer Leverkusen, Stuttgart and RB Leipzig have all dominated Dortmund this season. But only one of their last 17 Bundesliga opponents has kept a clean sheet against Terzic’s side. Stuttgart will struggle to achieve that here.

At the same time, Hoeness’s men have scored 33 goals in their last nine outings, an average of 3.67 per game.

We think the attacks will take over the defenses in this one. Dortmund are encouraged to go for all three points as they attempt to close the gap on their next opponents to one point.

Stuttgart won’t necessarily fight fire with fire, but they too will carry an offensive threat to Signal Iduna Park.

Serhou Guirassy will score at any time – 5/4 (bet365)

Just as Stuttgart would attract more attention without Bayer Leverkusen, Serhou Guirassy would receive even more credit without Harry Kane.

Leader Bayern Munich is on course to finish as the Bundesliga’s top scorer this season, having scored 31 times so far.

Guirassy is eight behind Kane, but due to injury and international duty his 23 goals have come in just 21 matches. He has a real chance of finishing the campaign with more goals than games.

Guirassy enters this meeting having found the net six times in his last six outings. It seems like a great choice in this market
